At the end of February we had the honor of welcoming students from Management Academies – secondary vocational schools at the event Career Day. This event is part of a project aimed at bringing the real working environment closer to students. It was a great opportunity to share valuable experience and advice with young people for a successful start to their careers. The goal was not only to inspire, but above all to give students practical skills that will help them succeed in the current job market.
Practical tips for success in the job market
Our Executive Director prepared an inspiring presentation for 1st and 4th year students, covering key topics needed for a successful start to a career. Highlights included:
- How to choose a suitable job position – How to decide which job is right for you? How to consider your interests, skills, and long-term goals?
- Creating a structured resume – How to impress at first glance? What information is key and what to avoid?
- How to write a motivation letter that will impress – Tips for persuasive communication. How to highlight your strengths and tailor your cover letter to a specific position?
- Preparing for a job interview – How to prepare to succeed? What questions to expect and how to answer them?
- Types of employment contracts – HPP, DPP, DPČ – What are the differences and what to look out for? Which type of contract is the most advantageous for you?
- Personnel agency – specifics, advantages, disadvantages – When is cooperation with an agency beneficial? How to choose the right one?
- How to prepare for starting a new job – What to expect and how to adapt? How to make a good first impression and successfully fit into the team?
Students gained not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical advice that will help them better navigate these areas. During the presentation, they had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss specific situations, which contributed to a better understanding of the topics discussed.

We believe that this lecture was beneficial for the students and provided them with the necessary foundation for their future careers. Our goal was not only to convey information, but also to motivate young people to take an active approach to their professional development.
